Qualifications |
The applicants must be high school productions, grades 9 through 12, with all student performers. Any musical or drama with a stage time of one hour or longer will qualify. Collections of one act productions will qualify if the total running time is one hour or longer. A school does not need an official drama program to participate. The play must be produced and staged between the start of the academic year through spring break.
Download the official application and submit it by June 15, 2006 for productions to be staged prior to December 30, 2006. For productions staged between January 1, 2007 and Spring Break (CPS) 2007, the application deadline will be September 30, 2006.
To apply or request more information, please email Cree Rankin at crankin@uchicago.edu.
Two person teams will attend each performance and prepare an official summary report. A panel of all the judges will meet to determine nominations and awards. The judges will be Chicago Theater professionals and members of the University of Chicago community.
The announcement of awards nominations will be made shortly after Spring Break 2007. The Awards Ceremony will be held Mid May of 2007 on the University of Chicago Campus. All Nominees will be individually notified.
